India's coastguard said on Saturday it had lost contact with a Panama-flagged cargo vessel that sank off the country's east coast with 24 crew members, and dispatched rescue assets to the area.
The vessel, sailing under a Panama flag, went down with 24 crew on board, according to the Indian coastguard. Of those aboard, 20 were Chinese nationals, three were from Myanmar and one was from Bangladesh, officials said.
